Yeshiva University's Office of Alumni Affairs has announced a series of events and opportunities for its alumni community in early 2025. Beth Lebenson Praver, Director of Alumni Engagement, encourages alumni to submit Class Notes to share personal milestones such as births, weddings, or career changes with the broader YU community.
Several upcoming events are planned. The second annual YU Real Estate Day will take place on January 30 at Weil, Gotshal and Manges in New York. "Last year’s inaugural event sold out," notes the announcement. Registration is open for those interested in attending or sponsoring.
On February 16, the second annual Women’s Yom Iyun will be held under the theme "Living Unique Lives: Serving as an אור לגוים." The event invites alumnae and their families to join educational sessions with prominent speakers.
The third annual Men’s Dor L’Dor learning session is scheduled for February 17 on the Wilf Campus. This event provides an opportunity for male alumni to engage in Torah study reminiscent of their student days.
Additionally, an Annual Alumni Night with the MACS is set for February 22. The evening includes a dairy dinner followed by a basketball game against Mount Saint Mary College.
For those interested in books, YU Libraries have organized spring book talks available online. Discussions cover various topics including Jewish resilience and philosophy.
YU's presence extends internationally with resources available through its Israel office since October 7. Alumni residing or visiting Israel can connect with local initiatives or volunteer opportunities through Susan Sheldon at susan.sheldon@yu.edu.
Alumni are also invited to participate in ongoing programs such as Torah Tuesdays and mentoring opportunities through the YU Mentoring Volunteer Program.
Beth Lebenson Praver concludes by inviting alumni to update their contact information and consider joining the YU Alumni Association for additional benefits including networking events and career support.
