Grace Meng, a U.S. Congress member representing New York’s 6th district, has recently shared several updates via her social media account. Her posts cover new municipal regulations, initiatives for family support, and legislative actions affecting retirement benefits.

On November 17, 2024, Meng highlighted changes in waste management policies in New York City. She noted that "new trash bin rules went into effect in NYC this week!" and encouraged residents to learn more about the guidelines and obtain necessary bins.

In another post on November 18, 2024, Meng emphasized the importance of safe sleep practices for infants. She announced that "NYS families applying for Cash Assistance (CA) allowance can now request funding for a crib, pack & play, & other safe sleep essentials."

Later that day, Meng addressed issues related to retirement benefits. She expressed concern over the impact of certain provisions on Americans' financial security: "Millions of Americans, including Queens residents, have been stripped of their retirement benefits due to WEP & GPO." Meng stated her support for the Social Security Fairness Act aimed at repealing these provisions.
