Kings County's five universities invested $771,965 on their basketball teams in 2023, a 75.9% decrease from the previous year, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

The county’s funding for the basketball teams comprised 10.8% of all money invested in sports teams in 2023.

The average sports expenses in Kings County have grown 32.5% since 2010.

Pratt Institute-Main stood out as the university in Kings County that received the most basketball funding during 2023. The institution received $226,826 - or 29.4% of all the money destined to basketball teams.
