The City University of New York (CUNY) will open 12 of its campuses to serve as polling sites for New Yorkers during the city's primary election. Nine colleges will host early voting from June 15 through June 23, while four campuses will be available on Election Day, June 25.

"Voting matters; it is a critical right that allows us, as a society, to express our collective voice. CUNY is proud to play a role in facilitating this process, which is consistent with the University’s commitment to encouraging civic participation as part of a well-rounded education," said CUNY Chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez. "CUNY’s campuses have historically served as important community gathering places, and we hope that when they visit to cast their ballots, New Yorkers will realize that they have a home at CUNY, whether or not they’re one of our students."

In addition to hosting poll sites, the university has been promoting student voter registration and participation through its non-partisan CUNY Votes initiative. Voters can find their assigned early voting or Election Day polling location by using the New York City Board of Elections Find My Poll Site lookup tool.

Serving over 225,000 students annually and awarding around 50,000 degrees each year, CUNY significantly contributes to the city's economic and cultural life.

More than eighty percent of CUNY graduates remain in New York City after graduation. The university's alumni and faculty have earned numerous prestigious awards including thirteen Nobel Prizes and twenty-six MacArthur "genius grants." To learn more about CUNY, visit https://www.cuny.edu.
