2022: 219 coaches at institutions in Kings County earned on average $16,451

Kings County’s 219 coaches earned an average salary of $16,451 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 14th lowest average salary per county earned by coaches at New York post-secondary schools during 2022.

Kings County is home to six post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, St. Francis College stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $66,314.

Male coaches of men's teams received $20,354 on average in Kings County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $19,343.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
