Brooklyn, NY----For the first time in three years due to the pandemic, the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) honored the 2022-23 Women's Basketball Conference All-Stars at its Basketball Awards Luncheon hosted at Giando on the Water on Thursday. The 2022-23 Regular Season Champion Brooklyn College Women's Basketball team would take home four honors on the day including a pair of major awards. Senior guard, Gianna Gotti, garnered Player of the Year honors, Head Coach, Alex Lang, was voted Coach of the Year, senior guard, Ericka James, was selected as a First Team Conference All-Star, and senior guard, Dasha Goodman, was picked for the conference's Sportsmanship Team. It is the third straight season that a Bulldog has been named CUNYAC Player of the Year.
- Named a First Team CUNYAC All-Star for the 2021-22 Season.
- Surpassed 1,000 points for her collegiate career.
- Second in conference and seventh in the nation in scoring (22.0 ppg)
- Leads nation in steals with 140 on the season.
- Second in the conference in assists (5.5 apg) and leads the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5).
- Scored a career-high 38 points in a conference win at John Jay. Scored 30+ points on four separate occasions during the regular season.
- Had seven doubles-doubles on the regular season.
- Named CUNYAC Player of the Week five times during the regular season.
- Four-time Met Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week.
- Named CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month (December).
- Undefeated 14-0 conference record for the Bulldogs' third straight regular season title with an unblemished CUNYAC mark.
- The Bulldogs have won 44 games straight against conference opponents.
- Seventh CUNYAC Coach of the Year award.
- Preseason favorite to win the conference.
- Team heads into the conference championship tournament on a 13-game winning streak.
- Third straight season coaching the CUNYAC Player of the Year.
- Second straight CUNYAC First Team All-Star honor.
- Second in the conference in three-point makes (42) and three-point shooting percentage (.360).
- Finished regular season second in scoring for Brooklyn and 8th in the conference averaging 14.2 ppg.
- Scored 20+ points in six games on the regular season.
- Scored a season-high 28 points in a non-conference win over William Paterson.
- Second on the team and 6th in the conference in three-point makes (35).
- Ranks in the top-five on the team in a number of statistical categories.
