Of the 6,486 citizens living in Canton in 2020, 5,908 were old enough to vote as of March 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 3,141 of those people were female and 2,767 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
