YouTube demonetizes Epoch Times without reason or warning

The Epoch Times has recently released a statement that YouTube, without any warning or specific explanation, had demonetized its account on Jan 20.

While the publication said that they are open to working with the platform in resolving the issue, they expressed that this is not the first time that they have been targeted by a major tech company.

“Facebook previously blocked our ability to advertise our newspaper subscriptions on the platform,” Epoch Times U.S. Edition Editor-in-Chief Jasper Fakkert wrote on their press release.

They are also saddened by the fact that “instead of defending press freedom, other media organizations, such as The New York Times and NBC News, have spent considerable time and resources in an effort to attack The Epoch Times.”

“We truly believe in freedom of the press and the importance of the press as a cornerstone for a free society and as the key for our Republic to flourish,” Fakkert further said. “That’s why we don’t look away when others do. And that’s why you can count on us to cover the topics that matter.”

The Epoch Times appeals to their readers to support them in providing truthful news by considering to become a subscriber for only a dollar. More of the subscription details on this link.
