1.5 percent of CUNY City College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 1.5 percent of CUNY City College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

CUNY City College has 13,186 undergraduate students, of which 52 percent are women and 48 percent are men, and a total student body of 16,043 students. Of these students, 137 men and 97 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at CUNY City College with the most participants are soccer (52), track and field, outdoor (40) and track and field, indoor (32).
