Cost of college went up for all students at The Ailey School

Tuition and fees rose 11.5 percent for 2018-19 at The Ailey School, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York students paid $13,680 to attend the two-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,415 more than the $12,265 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 59 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 15 students received grants or scholarships totaling $79,660 and 11 students took out student loans totaling more than $72,248.

Including all undergraduates (93), 53 students used grants or scholarships totaling $313,443, and 49 students took out $303,649 in federal student loans.
