Cost of college went up for all students at CUNY Bernard M Baruch College

In-state tuition and fees rose 2.8 percent for 2018-19 at CUNY Bernard M Baruch College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York residents paid $7,262 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $200 more than the $7,062 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 105.6 percent more than residents this year, or $14,932. Their price tag grew 3.3 percent from $14,452 in 2017-18.

About 93 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New York residents. About 3 percent are residents of other states and 4 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 78 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,198 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.7 million and 107 students took out student loans totaling more than $657,633.

Including all undergraduates (18,029), 9,078 students used grants or scholarships totaling $70.8 million, and 1,763 students took out $10.6 million in federal student loans.
