Cost of college went up for all students at Monroe College

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Monroe College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New York students paid $15,428 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $452 more than the $14,976 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 933 students received grants or scholarships totaling $11.6 million and 392 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (6,386), 5,009 students used grants or scholarships totaling $71.2 million, and 3,204 students took out $21.3 million in federal student loans.
