48 percent of applicants to CUNY City College were admitted for fall 2018

At CUNY City College, 77 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in New York enrolled 16,043 students in fall 2018, including 13,186 in undergraduate and 2,857 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

96 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 2 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (39 percent) and Asian (24 percent).

The school admitted 48 percent of the 21,982 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
