38 percent of applicants to The Ailey School were admitted for fall 2018

At The Ailey School, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 81 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in New York enrolled 93 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

15 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 35 percent are residents of other states. 47 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (32 percent) and white (19 percent).

The school admitted 38 percent of the 233 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 39 percent enrolled.
