The American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service enrolls 440 undergrads

At the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, 75 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 63 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in New York enrolled 440 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 19.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

76 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 24 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (53 percent) and Black or African American (28 percent).
