70 percent of applicants to the School of Visual Arts were admitted for fall 2018

At the School of Visual Arts, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 70 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in New York enrolled 4,390 students in fall 2018, including 3,714 in undergraduate and 676 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

17 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 32 percent are residents of other states. 50 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (22 percent) and Asian (14 percent).

The school admitted 70 percent of the 4,364 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
