CUNY LaGuardia Community College enrolls 19,300 undergrads

At CUNY LaGuardia Community College, 70 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in Long Island City enrolled 19,300 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 9.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

93 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (45 percent) and Asian (19 percent).
