48 percent of applicants to CUNY Queens College were admitted for fall 2018

At CUNY Queens College, 72 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Queens enrolled 19,746 students in fall 2018, including 16,620 in undergraduate and 3,126 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Asian (29 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (29 percent).

The school admitted 48 percent of the 18,862 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 22 percent enrolled.
