Graduates earn 658 degrees, certificates from Wagner College

About 39.8 percent of the 658 degrees and certificates handed out by Wagner College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Island conferred 159 bachelor's degrees and 93 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 123 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 75 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 53 master's degrees in nursing science.

The college enrolled 2,218 students for 2017-18, including 1,769 in undergraduate programs and 449 in graduate programs.
