BROOKLYN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Randy Peers and the Chamber team visited DUMBO!

Restau

Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 30

While commerce is returning to this area, long-term challenges remain. Foot traffic from tourists has been significantly reduced, and some residents left their homes earlier in the pandemic.

The views of the Manhattan skyline, Brooklyn Bridge, Empire Stores, Fulton Landing, Jane’s Carousel, and Fulton Ferry Park make DUMBO a major draw. And the businesses make this neighborhood special — Jacques Torres Chocolates, Salon Dumbo, WILD Art Studio, Glam Expressway and the infamous Superfine restaurant and Gleason’s Gym, to name just a few.

The DUMBO community has always been inspiration for Brooklyn's positive transformation, led by Two Trees and the Walentas family, and the businesses we visited are up for the challenge of beating COVID and coming back stronger than ever.

Thank you to Alexandria Sica Hecht and her team from the Dumbo Improvement District for having us.
