St. Mary’s Healthcare has announced that Benjamin Ziskin will serve as the new chairperson of its board of trustees. The organization also named several other officers to key positions: David Santos, vice president of D.A. Collins Construction, was elected board vice chairperson; Thomas Cichy, a retired CPA, will take on the role of board treasurer; and Dr. Mohammad R. Ghazi, a urologist at St. Mary’s Healthcare, was chosen as board secretary. Michael Pepe, a Montgomery County legislator and retired bank executive, is now the immediate past board chairperson.
William T. Winsman has joined the board as a trustee. Winsman is senior vice president of investments at Wells Fargo Advisors and has received recognition including Amsterdam Rotary Citizen of the Year and Distinguished Alumni from Fulton-Montgomery Community College. He also received the Father Joseph F. Girzone Crystal Pillar of the Community Award and, along with his wife Roberta, was honored in May with the Office for the Aging Foundation’s Rao Family Philanthropic Award.

The board includes Nancy Baghaei-Rad (Greater Amsterdam School District), Joel Bien-Aime (New Process Cleaners), Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis (Albany Catholic Diocese), Dr. Emily Etzkorn (Amsterdam Internal Medicine & Pediatrics), Andrew Heck (Alpin Haus), Sr. Mary Anne Heenan (Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet), Dr. Ronald Marsh (general surgeon at St. Mary’s Healthcare), Jeff Methven (president/CEO), Richard Vertucci (Rick’s Robo Car Wash and Gabriel Sealcoating), and emeritus member Susan L. Davis (Healthcare Strategic Solutions).
St. Mary’s Healthcare provides services through its hospital campus in Amsterdam as well as locations such as the Rao Outpatient Pavilion to meet healthcare needs in Montgomery and Fulton counties.
