The St. John’s softball team will host Wagner in its last home game of the 2026 season on Wednesday, with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. at Red Storm Field in Queens, according to an April 28 announcement. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+, and live statistics will be available on RedStormSports.com.
This matchup marks the conclusion of St. John’s home schedule for the year and continues a local rivalry in which St. John’s holds a significant advantage, leading the all-time series against Wagner 20-5. Last season, St. John’s won their meeting with a decisive 9-0 victory at Wagner Softball Field.
St. John’s enters this contest after sweeping Seton Hall over senior weekend, collecting three wins that improved their record to 31-20 overall and 9-12 in BIG EAST play. Loreley Francia delivered her fourth complete-game shutout of the season during Saturday’s doubleheader, while Jess Bianco contributed five hits and three runs scored across those games.
Head Coach Michelle DePolo reached her third consecutive season with at least thirty wins after the sweep against Seton Hall, continuing a streak since she took over in 2023 that includes a program-best thirty-nine-win campaign last year.
Several players have been recognized for recent performances: Natasha Limbani earned back-to-back Weekly Honor Roll honors after batting .706 over four multi-hit games; Ana Serafinko was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this year following three wins and twenty-nine strikeouts across eighteen innings pitched—a total that matches her own program record set last year.
Wagner arrives after splitting a doubleheader with FDU, highlighted by Karson Zavala leading their conference (NEC) in strikeouts and related pitching categories this season.
Following Wednesday’s home finale, St. John’s will travel to Villanova for a final three-game series to close out its regular-season schedule.
