The St. John’s softball team defeated Seton Hall, 10-5, at Red Storm Field on April 26 to complete a three-game sweep.
The game was marked by a strong offensive showing from the Red Storm, who recorded 14 hits and scored five runs in the first inning. This performance was their second-highest hit total in a single game this season, following an 18-hit effort against Butler on March 29.
Cassidy Stouffer led the team offensively with three hits and three runs batted in, matching her season highs. Ana Serafinko contributed two hits, two RBIs, and scored twice. Other notable performances included Sarah Post with two hits and two RBIs, Jess Bianco with two hits and an RBI, as well as contributions from London Slade, Natasha Limbani, Madison Konopka, Makenna Meadows, and Elanna Lysiak.
Several players extended their hitting streaks: Limbani reached ten games; Lysiak has now hit safely in seven straight; Slade’s streak is at four games; Bianco extended hers to six games. In pitching duties, Serafinko earned her seventeenth win of the season by throwing a complete game while allowing five runs on five hits and striking out eight batters. She now has twenty complete games this year—the fourth most among NCAA Division I pitchers.
Seton Hall briefly led early before St. John’s responded quickly in the bottom of the first inning to take control of the game. The Red Storm continued to build their lead through timely hitting across several innings despite Seton Hall’s efforts to close the gap later in the contest.
With home conference play concluded for this season, St. John’s will next host Wagner at Red Storm Field on April 29 at 2 p.m., with coverage available on ESPN+.
