The Red Storm, now holding an 8-4 overall record and remaining 2-0 in BIG EAST play, began the contest strongly by winning the doubles point. Victoria Papadopoulou and Noemi Babikova followed with another 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles over Astigarraga Harper and Dan Baidaulet, clinching the opening point for St. John’s.

However, Stetson responded during singles play by taking victories in the first two matches to move ahead 2-1. Gomez tied the score at two points each after defeating Baidaulet 6-3, 6-4 on court six for her second win of the day.

Stetson ultimately sealed its home victory by winning matches at both the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions.
