St. John’s University women’s tennis team secured a 4-0 win over Bethune-Cookman at the South Fulton Tennis Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Wednesday.

The Red Storm, now holding a 9-4 overall record and 2-0 in BIG EAST play, began the match by capturing the doubles point. Charlotta Buss and Giulia Bizzari defeated Zahara El-Zein and Jalayah Shaw with a score of 6-2 on the No. 2 court. St. John’s also received an uncontested win for the doubles point as Bethune-Cookman could not field a pairing on the No. 3 court.

This result marks consecutive season victories for St. John’s over Bethune-Cookman and improves their record to nine wins this season.

The Red Storm will next face DePaul in BIG EAST competition at the USTA National Tennis Center on March 13 at 12:15 p.m.
