St. John’s University’s women’s basketball team will have its regular season finale against the University of Connecticut broadcast on terrestrial radio for the first time. The game, set to take place at Madison Square Garden on March 1 with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off, will air on 880 AM ESPN New York.
This matchup marks St. John’s first standalone women’s basketball game at Madison Square Garden and features the team facing off against UConn, which has won 12 national championships. The audio broadcast is presented by the LEARFIELD St. John’s Radio Network and will also be accessible via the ESPN New York and Varsity Network apps.

Pat O’ Keefe, known for his work as a New York Knicks radio personality, along with BIG EAST broadcaster Maria Marino, will provide commentary from midtown Manhattan. National television coverage will be handled by JB Long, Christy Winters-Scott, and Autumn Johnson on TNT.
St. John’s women’s basketball returns to Madison Square Garden for the third consecutive year and for the 19th time in its history. The team has an overall record of 11 wins and seven losses at this venue, including a five-win and two-loss record under current Head Coach Joe Tartamella.
