St. John’s University has announced the 2026 baseball schedule under Head Coach Mike Hampton, who enters his seventh season leading the program and his 25th overall with the Red Storm.

The team is coming off a successful spring, marking its third consecutive winning season and a fourth-place finish in the BIG EAST Conference. The upcoming schedule includes games against six teams that reached the NCAA Tournament last year. Out of 16 non-conference opponents, 10 had winning records in 2025 and four participated in the NCAA Tournament.

The Red Storm will open their season on February 13, facing Ball State in DeLand, Florida at Stetson University. The following day, they will play a doubleheader against Minnesota and Ball State before concluding their opening weekend against Stetson.

Their only trip to the West this season takes place from February 20-22 for a three-game series against Arizona State in Tempe. This matchup marks their first meeting since 2002; both teams previously faced each other during the 1978 College World Series.

On February 27, St. John’s will travel to Kentucky for another three-game series. Kentucky advanced to the Clemson Regional final last season before losing to West Virginia. This will be only the third time these programs have met and their first encounter since 2014.

While returning from Kentucky, St. John’s will stop in State College for two midweek games against Penn State on March 3-4.

The Red Storm’s home opener at Jack Kaiser Stadium is set for March 6 with a three-game series versus UAlbany. The homestand continues with midweek games against Fairfield (March 10) and Marist (March 11).

A seven-game road trip follows, starting with Charlotte on March 13 for three games, then moving to Stony Brook on March 17 and UT-Arlington from March 20 for another trio of matchups.

St. John’s returns home on March 27 for its longest homestand of the season beginning with Cal Baptist over three games, followed by Wagner (March 31), then opening BIG EAST play with Seton Hall April 2-4—a single game Thursday due to Easter followed by a doubleheader Saturday.

After visiting Central Connecticut State on April 7, St. John’s hosts Georgetown April 10-12 before playing Hofstra at home April 14.

Following this stretch where they play most games at home, an eight-game road swing begins April 17 at UConn including stops at Rutgers (April 21), Xavier (April 24-26), and Hofstra again (April 28).

May opens with Creighton visiting Jack Kaiser Stadium May1-3; after hosting Stony Brook May5 for their last non-conference game, St.John’s travels to Villanova May8-10.

The regular season concludes with Butler coming to Queens May14-16.

The BIG EAST Tournament is scheduled to begin May23 at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio; an automatic bid to the NCAA field is at stake.

Admission remains free for all Red Storm baseball games held at Jack Kaiser Stadium.
