U.S. Representative Ritchie Torres, who represents New York’s 15th district in Congress, posted a series of tweets addressing community events and social issues on July 30 and 31, 2025.

On July 30, Torres highlighted his involvement in a local event for families associated with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). He wrote, “Yesterday, NYCHA families from Morrisania Air Rights and the Andrew Jackson Houses came together for a joyful day at Sesame Place in honor of autism awareness. I was proud to co-sponsor this special event and help give our families a chance to enjoy a safe, inclusive, and https://t.co/sfsSfUWq3s”.

The following day, Torres posted two brief statements on social media. At 15:03 UTC on July 31 he stated, “Facts don’t care about your feelings. https://t.co/Z0CuqE8Thg”. Later that day at 15:40 UTC he added another post: “Medicaid is the air we breathe. https://t.co/2Z57HDQINX”.

Torres has served as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 15th district since replacing José E. Serrano in 2021. Born in The Bronx in 1988, Torres continues to reside in the borough he represents.
