Ritchie Torres, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 15th district since 2021, shared a series of updates on social media between February 9 and February 10, 2026. The posts highlighted his views on cultural events, local community initiatives, and national political discourse.

On February 9, Torres commented on the Super Bowl halftime show by Bad Bunny, stating: “Bad Bunny’s halftime show was a beautiful celebration of Puerto Rican culture and pride. A powerful moment on the biggest stage in America. “

Later that day, he discussed efforts to improve food access in the Riverdale community: “After hearing from residents and working alongside @bronxbp, @JeffreyDinowitz, and @EricDinowitzNYC, we helped secure a new full-service supermarket to restore fresh, affordable food access for the Riverdale community.”

On February 10, Torres addressed a political claim regarding former President Donald Trump’s record with Black Americans: “I pressed a pro-Trump economist to defend Trump’s claim that he’s done more for Black Americans than any president since Lincoln. He tripped over himself trying to justify a statement that is as offensive as it is detached from reality.”

Torres has represented New York’s 15th District in Congress since replacing José E. Serrano in 2021. Born in The Bronx in 1988, Torres continues to reside in the borough he represents.
