Columbia women’s basketball guard Riley Weiss has received her sixth Ivy League Player of the Week award, according to an announcement from the league office. This marks the highest number of weekly honors in the conference this season.
Weiss averaged 22.5 points over two games, helping Columbia secure wins against Yale and Brown. In the game against Yale, she scored a game-high 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting. After halftime, Weiss scored the next 11 points for Columbia, contributing to a 15-0 run that extended the team’s lead.
In Saturday’s game at Brown, Weiss recorded a team-high 19 points along with three steals, two rebounds, a block, and an assist. She made a four-point play during an 11-point second quarter and converted two free throws in the final seconds to help secure the win.
Weiss leads the Ivy League in scoring with an average of 19.9 points per game. She is ranked 19th nationally in scoring and 21st in three-pointers made per game. She also leads her conference in total points (517), three-pointers made (47), three-point percentage (37%), and total field goals made (186).
Her six Player of the Week selections are surpassed only by Abbey Hsu’s program-record seven during the 2023-24 season. Weiss is now one of seven players in Ivy League history to receive at least six weekly awards in a single season.
Senior Perri Page was named to this week’s Ivy League Honor Roll after averaging 9.5 points, five rebounds, 3.5 steals, and three assists over two games while shooting 60 percent from the field. Page’s go-ahead three-point play late in the Brown game gave Columbia a lead they held for the rest of the contest.
Columbia (20-6 overall, 11-2 Ivy) will host Harvard (16-10 overall, 9-4 Ivy) on Saturday for its regular-season finale at Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., with Senior Day celebrations for Perri Page and Susie Rafiu starting around 1:45 p.m.
