Rep. Nydia Velázquez, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 7th district since 1993, posted a series of updates on February 25, 2026, addressing political issues, student opportunities, and local appropriations.

Connect with opportunities and resources to help you build your future. 12-3 PM Franklin K. Lane Educational Campus, 999 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn” (February 25, 2026).

In her final post of the day, Velázquez announced open appropriations requests: “Appropriations requests for FY 2027 are now open! If your organization has a project that would benefit NY-07, we want to hear from you. More information here “ (February 25, 2026).
