Red Storm Report episode six airs tonight ahead of key BIG EAST matchups

Episode six of the Red Storm Report, a weekly show offering behind-the-scenes coverage of St. John’s men’s and women’s basketball, will debut at 7 p.m. tonight on MSG Sports Network (MSGSN). The episode is scheduled to re-air at 10 p.m., with additional broadcasts on Saturday at 3 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The latest episode comes ahead of two BIG EAST road games for St. John’s. The No. 17 ranked men’s team will play Providence at 1 p.m. on TNT and truTV, while the women’s team faces Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.

Red Storm Report is hosted by Brandon Tierney and gives viewers access to the inner workings of both basketball programs. Each episode is uploaded to RedStormSports.com, with select segments available on YouTube and social media platforms.

This week, Tierney walks Carnesecca Arena’s court with Oziyah Sellers to discuss his time in Queens and the current season for the Red Storm. He also interviews Rick Pitino about Monday’s win over Xavier and the upcoming game against Providence.

The men’s player profile focuses on Sellers, who has started all 24 games since transferring from Stanford. Sellers is averaging 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, with 37 three-pointers made and a 26-to-4 assist-to-turnover ratio in BIG EAST play.

On the women’s side, sophomore guard Janeya Grant is highlighted for her contributions off the bench this season. Grant ranks second on her team with 37 made three-pointers and has converted on 37.3 percent of her shots from beyond the arc, making most of her field goals from long range.

St. John’s Red Storm Men’s Basketball operates out of Queens, New York, participating in the Big East Conference under the Red Storm nickname as part of St. John’s University athletics.
