Red Storm Report airs ninth episode ahead of postseason tournaments

The ninth episode of the 2026 season of the “Red Storm Report” will air tonight at 8 p.m. on MSG Sports Network (MSGSN). The episode is scheduled to premiere before the New York Knicks pre-game show and will be shown again at midnight after coverage of the Knicks game against the Denver Nuggets. Additional re-airings are set for Saturday at 3:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

This week’s program focuses on St. John’s Red Storm men’s basketball team, which currently holds a No. 18/17 national ranking with a record of 24-6 overall and 17-2 in BIG EAST play. The team has an opportunity to secure a share of its second consecutive BIG EAST Regular Season Championship if it wins its final regular season game against Seton Hall at 9 p.m. on FS1.

St. John’s women’s basketball team is preparing for postseason competition, starting their run in the 2026 BIG EAST Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, where they will face Xavier, seeded eleventh, at 4 p.m. on Peacock. The winner will move forward to compete against third-seeded Seton Hall on Saturday night.

Hosted by Brandon Tierney, “Red Storm Report” offers viewers behind-the-scenes access to both men’s and women’s basketball programs at St. John’s University in Queens, New York official website. Tonight’s episode includes an interview between Tierney and Head Coach Rick Pitino discussing the current state of the Red Storm as they approach Senior Night, along with highlights from the women’s basketball season as they get ready for tournament play. There is also a segment featuring redshirt junior guard Dylan Darling.

A player profile spotlights sophomore Joson Sanon, who averages 8.4 points per game while shooting 35.2 percent from three-point range and making nearly 79 percent of his free throws this season. Sanon recently scored all of his 15 points in the second half during St. John’s comeback win over Georgetown.
