NYU women’s golf wins team title at Jack Leaman Invitational

The New York University women’s golf team won the Jack Leaman Invitational on April 12, finishing first among twelve teams at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts.

The tournament saw NYU, currently ranked second nationally, secure the top spot with a two-round total of +21. This performance highlights the team’s competitive standing as they approach upcoming championship events.

Jiayi Fu led the Violets with a score of +1 over two rounds and finished second individually. Sonia Hao placed third overall with a score of +4, while Tiya Chowdary finished eighth at +7. Inha Jun completed her rounds at +9 and Naomi Tan ended with a score of +13 to round out NYU’s lineup.

Additionally, Srishti Dhurandhar participated in the individual tournament segment and posted a combined score of +12 across both days, placing 23rd overall.

The Violets are scheduled to compete next at the Liberty League Championship on May 1 in Rome, New York, where they will play at Teugega Country Club.
