About 200 fans attended the New York City premiere of “Wicked: For Good” at Lincoln Center on November 17. The event was made possible through an NBC Universal ticket giveaway organized by the Program Board. Attendees, many dressed in pink or green eveningwear, experienced a range of activities including viewing costumes designed by award-winning alum Paul Tazewell, taking photos on the red carpet, and seeing celebrities and influencers.

A select group of students who won a costume contest were given spots in the “fan pen,” where they greeted stars as they arrived. The premiere also offered guests an advance screening of the film before its official release on November 21.

Among those present were social media interns from NYU News—Natalia Jedlinska (Steinhardt ’28), Jenny Cheng (SPS ’26), and Kiara Mujica (Gallatin ’27)—who covered the event for @nyuniversity channels.

Natalia Jedlinska shared her perspective from covering the red carpet: “POV: Your University Sent You to Cover the Red Carpet.” Her video diary captured scenes from the premiere, showing audiences watching the film alongside its stars.

Jenny Cheng and Kiara Mujica interviewed fellow NYU students about their outfits for the occasion.
