More than 120 members of the New York University (NYU) community have been nominated for the 2025 Emmy Awards. The nominations cover a wide range of categories, including acting, directing, writing, and technical roles in comedy, drama, and nonfiction.

NYU alumni and faculty are represented in several highly-nominated programs such as “Severance,” “The Penguin,” and “The Studio.” Notably, Martin Scorsese received his first-ever nomination for his role in “The Studio.” Other distinguished alumni like Sarah Silverman, Adam Sandler, Sterling K. Brown, and Ayo Edebiri were also recognized.

These nominations span over 60 categories across six NYU schools. There is potential for more NYU-related nominations to be announced as some top category nominees have yet to be revealed.
