The New York University men’s tennis team concluded its participation in the ITA Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday, October 4, in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Philip Martin and Bryan Hui both competed in the singles Round of 16 but did not advance further. Martin was defeated by Fernando Bauermeister of Vassar College with a score of 6-0, 4-2 before retiring from the match. Hui lost to Eugene Lee, also from Vassar College, with a score of 6-4, 6-4.

Head Coach Horace Choy commented on Martin’s performance: “I’m disappointed for Phil as this is his last ITA Tournament. He’s been battling injury all Fall and aggravated it again yesterday. He was hoping to play through it, but wasn’t able to.”

With the completion of the ITA Regionals, NYU’s fall schedule has ended. The team will resume competition when they host Union College on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Bronx, New York.
