NYU men’s golf team in second place after first day at Dr. Tim Brown Invitational

The New York University men’s golf team finished the first day of the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational in second place on April 11. The tournament is being held at Ballston Spa Country Club and is hosted by Skidmore College.

The Violets are competing against 17 teams and recorded a combined score of +11 after the opening round. This result puts them just behind the leading team as they head into the final round.

Qi (Steven) Liu led NYU with a score of +1 (73), placing him fourth in the individual standings for day one. Oscar Uribe followed closely with a +2 (74), earning seventh place overall, while Tanmay Chandra carded a +3 (75). George Zhou contributed with a +5 (76) to round out NYU’s scoring players.

Jomyuth Luangtana-anan also competed for NYU, finishing his round at +6 (78). In addition, Kai Nam Ryan Leung played as an individual participant and posted a score of +11 (82).

The Violets are scheduled to return for the final round on Sunday, April 12.
