Noelle Polanco, former basketball standout at Fontbonne Hall Academy, was on the court Wednesday, Feb. 25, during the Charleston Golden Eagles’ 87-66 loss to the Glenville State Pioneers.
The 5-11 freshman forward added 4 points and 1 rebound during her two minutes of play.
Polanco and the Golden Eagles will next face the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets away on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.
St. John’s baseball team will visit Hofstra for their second matchup this season on April 27 after securing another BIG EAST series victory over Xavier last weekend. Both teams bring strong defensive records into Tuesday’s game.
NYU’s men’s and women’s track and field teams concluded their weekend at Widener University’s Paul Donahue Invitational with several strong performances. Standout finishes included Alexa McMillian’s second place in triple jump and solid showings across sprints and relays.
St. John’s track and field is set for competition at this weekend’s UConn Northeast Challenge following recent successes at South Florida Invitational events. Senior Jamora Alves continues her standout season while other key athletes look to build momentum ahead of upcoming meets.
