Noah Plenn has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, according to an April 6 announcement from the conference. The recognition follows his four-point performance against Marquette.

Plenn, who is from Cape May, New Jersey, led St. John’s Red Storm offense in the game against Marquette by scoring three goals and adding one assist. He took 12 shots during the match, with five on goal.

Throughout this season, Plenn has achieved multi-point performances in seven out of nine games played. He currently leads St. John’s in several categories: goals (18), assists (14), points (32), and shots on goal (44). Additionally, he shares the team lead in man-up goals with Jake Wright at four each.

Nationally among freshmen players, Plenn ranks sixth in points per game at 3.33 and twelfth in goals per game at 2.00. This latest honor is his third weekly award after previously being named both BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week earlier this year for his performances against Quinnipiac and Hofstra—games where he posted a freshman point total unmatched since St. John’s reinstated its program in 2005.

Looking ahead, Plenn will try to continue his strong play as St. John’s travels to Colorado for its first BIG EAST road matchup against Denver on Saturday at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
