St. John’s University attackman Noah Plenn has been named both the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference office on Monday.

These awards are the first weekly honors of Plenn’s collegiate career. His recognition follows strong performances in St. John’s recent wins over Quinnipiac on February 17 and Hofstra on February 21.

Plenn is the first St. John’s player to be named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week since Brian Kelly received the honor in March 2025 for his efforts against Rutgers and Mercer.

Originally from Cape May, New Jersey, Plenn made program history with his performance against Quinnipiac, achieving the highest point total by a freshman since St. John’s reinstated its men’s lacrosse program in 2005. In that game, he scored five goals on nine shots on goal and contributed three assists. He continued his form with one goal and two assists during St. John’s 9-8 comeback win over Hofstra.

After this week, which helped St. John’s improve its season record to 2-2, Plenn leads the team with 19 points and 11 goals through four games, along with eight assists and a team-high 25 shots on goal.

Nationally, Plenn ranks among the top freshmen in NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse, standing third in both points per game (4.75) and total points among all freshmen players. He is also fifth among collegiate newcomers in total goals.

Plenn transferred from Delaware before joining St. John’s and will aim to continue his strong play as the Red Storm seek their third straight win when they travel to Lafayette this weekend for a matchup scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m.
