New York City FC secured a thrilling 4-3 victory over FC Dallas in Frisco, Texas. The match featured an impressive performance by Aonso Martínez, who scored a hat-trick to help his team stretch their unbeaten streak to three games.
The game began with Jonny Shore opening the scoring for New York City in the 11th minute, marking his first goal for the club. However, FC Dallas quickly responded with goals from Petar Musa and Logan Farrington, taking a 2-1 lead.
New York City equalized through Martínez five minutes after falling behind. The teams continued to exchange chances until Farrington scored again in first-half stoppage time, giving Dallas a 3-2 lead at halftime.
In the second half, New York City found an equalizer early on as Martínez netted his second goal of the night. Later, Nicolás Fernández Mercau made his debut and contributed significantly by setting up Martínez’s third goal in the final ten minutes.
