The new season of “Red Storm Report,” the St. John’s men’s and women’s basketball show, debuts tonight at 5:30 p.m. on MSG Sports Network (MSGSN). The first episode of the ten-week series will re-air at 8 p.m., and again on Saturday, January 10 at midnight and 11 a.m.
This week’s broadcast precedes key BIG EAST games for both teams. The men’s team faces Creighton at 2 p.m. ET on FS1, while the women host Butler at the same time on ESPN+.
Hosted by Brandon Tierney, an analyst for the St. John’s Radio Network, “Red Storm Report” offers viewers an inside look at the men’s and women’s basketball programs. Episodes will be accessible via RedStormSports.com, with selected segments also available on YouTube and St. John’s Basketball social media platforms.
The first edition includes a recap of last year’s BIG EAST Regular Season and Tournament Championship, as well as an interview with Head Coach Rick Pitino to discuss the current season through 15 games.
The player profile segment features sophomore guard Ian Jackson, a New York City native who joined St. John’s after his freshman year at North Carolina where he made the All-ACC Rookie Team. Jackson has started in each of the past seven games, averaging 11.1 points per game and making 90.3 percent of his free throws.
On the women’s side, junior Brooke Moore is highlighted for her performance this season as leading scorer with an average of 13.9 points per game. Moore leads in field goal percentage (56.7%), three-point shooting (42.9%), rebounds (5.6 RPG), and blocks (1.4 BPG). She transferred to St. John’s from Liberty University after competing in the 2025 NCAA Tournament with the Flames.
St. John’s Red Storm Men’s Basketball operates from Queens, New York, participating in the Big East Conference under its Red Storm nickname according to their official website. The team has won six Big East Tournament titles and two NIT championships as reported by their athletics department.
