Lehman defeats CCNY men’s basketball in CUNYAC championship final

The City College of New York (CCNY) men’s basketball team ended its postseason with a loss to Lehman College in the 2026 CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Championship. The game, held at Hunter College Sportsplex, saw CCNY fall 101–56 to the top-seeded Lehman Lightning.

CCNY started strong and trailed by only two points midway through the first half. However, Lehman went on a run before halftime, using its size and fast-paced offense to take a 51–30 lead at the break.

After halftime, Lehman maintained control of the game. The Lightning shot over 50 percent from the field in the second half and dominated in rebounding and points in the paint. Lehman finished with a 60–34 advantage on the boards and scored 56 points inside.

Freshman Olabanjo Aborisade led CCNY with 16 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Senior Michael Bowman contributed 15 points and five assists, while senior Camryn Reyes added 10 points with two three-pointers. CCNY shot 28.4 percent overall and made just over 23 percent of its three-point attempts.

Lehman was led by Ricardo Dixon’s double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. Kofi Mends scored 23 points, including five shots from beyond the arc. Amar Ndiaye also recorded a double-double with 19 points and 19 rebounds as Lehman completed an undefeated conference season at 14–0.

CCNY ends its season with an overall record of eight wins and nineteen losses.
