St. John’s University senior outfielder Jon LeGrande has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, according to an announcement from the conference office on Monday.
LeGrande recorded four hits in 14 at-bats during the opening week of the 2026 baseball season. He scored three runs and drove in four, which included a home run and a double. Over the weekend, he achieved a .357 batting average, a .444 on-base percentage, and a .643 slugging percentage. LeGrande also led his team with four stolen bases.
At the Stetson Tournament, LeGrande began his season by hitting a two-run home run against Ball State on Friday. In the tournament’s final game, he contributed to St. John’s 11-7 win over host Stetson by going 1-for-3 at the plate, scoring twice, stealing two bases, and delivering an RBI double.
This recognition is LeGrande’s first of the year after being selected for the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team before this season started. In 2025, he was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team and made an appearance on the league’s weekly honor roll on May 5.
Looking ahead, LeGrande and St. John’s will play a three-game series at Arizona State starting Friday, February 20. The first game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
