On Friday, March 13, Kamiya Dambreville, a former John Adams High School basketball standout, helped lead her IUP Crimson Hawks to a 79-53 win over the Charleston Golden Eagles in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The contest was held at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex and began at 5 p.m.
The Crimson Hawks are set to play again on Saturday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the same venue.
Avery Brown will join St. John’s men’s basketball after four years as starting point guard at Columbia University. Head Coach Rick Pitino praised Brown’s experience as an asset for next season’s roster.
New York University’s women’s tennis team edged out Brandeis University in a close contest at Sanlando Park during the UAA Championship on April 25. Victoria Wang secured victory for NYU by winning her deciding singles match.
St. John’s University has moved Sunday’s softball game against Seton Hall from noon to 2 p.m. due to inclement weather. The matchup is the last Big East home game this season and will air on ESPN+.
