Columbia men’s basketball forward Connor Igoe was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year, and senior Kenny Noland received Second Team All-Ivy League recognition, according to a March 11 announcement from the conference. The awards were determined by votes from the Ivy League’s eight head coaches. Blair Thompson was also recognized as Columbia’s Academic All-Ivy recipient.
These honors highlight individual achievements during the 2025-26 season for Columbia athletes. Igoe is the first player in program history to earn Ivy League Rookie of the Year. He recorded five double-doubles, leading all first-year players in that category and tying for second overall in the conference. Igoe played in all 28 games, starting the final six, and averaged nearly 20 minutes per game.
Igoe led Columbia with 158 rebounds and an average of 5.6 rebounds per game. He also ranked second on the team with 83 assists and averaged 8.3 points per game while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field. His season included a career-high 16 points against California on December 21 and a near triple-double performance against Brown on February 27.
Noland led Columbia in scoring with an average of 17.1 points per game, which tied him for second among Ivy League scorers. He also topped his team in assists, field goals made, three-point field goals made, free throws made, and minutes played per game. Noland finished his career at Columbia ranked in several statistical categories: fifth in games played (111), fourteenth in points (1,225), tenth in assists (281), and fourth in steals (126). On January 24 at Dartmouth, he posted career highs with 28 points and 11 rebounds.
Thompson started every game this season for Columbia and averaged over eleven points per contest. He reached his milestone of five hundred career rebounds during a win at Dartmouth and became only the second Lion to record both five hundred rebounds and one hundred steals over his career.
The recognition of these players reflects their contributions throughout a competitive season for Columbia men’s basketball.
