Grace Meng, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 6th district since 2013, recently shared updates on her work and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On July 19, Meng posted: “Watch our full Q&A with @JonnyKimUSA here: https://t.co/QiMiI2J0uK”.
The following day, she highlighted her meeting with young advocates from Girls Inc., stating on July 20: “It was great to meet with members of the @girls_inc Teen Advisory Council to talk about my Menstrual Equity for All Act! Period products are essential—no student should be held back simply because they can’t afford them. I’m proud to see these dedicated young women advocating https://t.co/kNyWOgvbEm”.
On July 21, Meng welcomed interns from the Korean American Civic Empowerment (KACE) program, posting: “Thrilled to welcome the 2025 Korean American Civic Empowerment (KACE) interns from Queens to Capitol Hill! For over 20 years, KACE has been teaching & developing students into the next generation of leaders in New York. I’m proud to see our Queens students learning to advocate https://t.co/yKbyw0AvvK”.
Meng has represented New York’s 6th District in Congress since succeeding Gary Ackerman in 2013. Prior to her congressional service, she was a member of the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012. Born in New York City in 1975 and currently residing in Queens, Meng is an alumna of the University of Michigan and Yeshiva University.
