Grace Meng, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 6th district, has recently shared updates on her public activities and policy positions through her social media accounts.

On March 30, Meng announced an upcoming event: “Mobile Office Hours: March 31 My team & I are hosting mobile office hours at Queens Public Library in North Forest Park on Tuesday, March 31, 1:00pm-3:00pm. Stop by to ask questions & receive assistance with federal agencies like the VA, IRS, Social Security, & more. Address & https://t.co/z05QhF7ZyF”. This event is intended to provide constituents with access to support for issues involving federal agencies.

The following day, on March 31, Meng posted a personal message referencing actress Lucy Liu: “Channeling my fellow Queens girl, Lucy Liu, as the lead in the movie of my life. Get to Know Grace, Part 3 is live—go check it out! https://t.co/0Mwj6mbvQQ”.

On April 1, Meng addressed the topic of birthright citizenship: “If you are born in American you are an American. Full stop. That right should not be stripped away by extremists or erased by a court. I will keep fighting to protect birthright citizenship no matter what happens. https://t.co/113DfBZ5J5”.

Meng has served in Congress since 2013 after replacing Gary Ackerman and previously held a seat in the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012. She was born in New York City in 1975 and currently resides in Queens. Meng holds a BA from the University of Michigan and a JD from Yeshiva University.
