Later that day, Meng reflected on her involvement with the Artemis II space mission as part of her congressional responsibilities: “What an incredible experience speaking with the Artemis II crew before their splashdown today. As the top Democrat on the Appropriations Committee responsible for funding NASA, I’ve fought to ensure America continues investing in space research and exploration. It’s an honor to”

Following the successful return of Artemis II, Meng posted another update early on April 11: “Artemis II has safely splashed down in the pacific! I’m glad they’ve safely made it back earth side. Americans have been watching in awe of this brave and talented crew since take-off. I can’t wait to see how their research and discoveries shape the future of American space”
